Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician
Dr Tanusha Cardoso is a specialist in Sport and Exercise medicine and accredited by the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians and practising at the clinic since 2015.
Tanusha offers her consulting services to the general public, the Australian Defence force, Work cover and TAC patients.
She enjoys the diversity that the specialty offers and has worked across a multitude of sports, both in terms of consulting and event coverage including the ICC Men's T20 World Cup (2022), the ICC Women's T20 World Cup (2020) , the Commonwealth games (2018) , the Ara Fura games (2011) and the Alice Springs Masters games (2010, 2012, 2014).
Dr Cardoso has previously worked in the role of team doctor for the Young Matildas (2019 -2021), the Matildas (home series medical coverage in 2021 and 2022), the Opals (2018-2019), the Collingwood AFLW Team (2018), the Melbourne Storm Under- 20s Rugby League team ( 2014), the Rumbalara Football and Netball Club (2011) and toured internationally with the Young Matildas, the Opals, The Pararoos and the Joeys. She also serves as match day doctor over the national cricket season (2017 till date).
She has previously worked at the Australian Institute of Sport and during her specialist training years at the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre, the Ballarat Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine clinic and the Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre.
Her published research includes tendinopathy, iron supplementation and AFL injuries.
